TRAP Budapest was out first ever escape room experience. Located in an old cellar, the setting befitted the game theme “Secret of the Tomb”. Upon entering the final chamber, you could almost believe you were actually in an ancient tomb. There are three other games available, “The bomb room”, “The Egypt Room” and “The Medieval Room”. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to play these.
Trap’s games are more elaborate than most. The props and puzzles are purpose built from glass, wood and metal, while a sophisticated network of electronic triggers opens up secret passages and new challenges. As well as brainpower, an element of skill is required to escape. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at TRAP and would rank it highly amongst other games we have subsequently played.
The price was very reasonable, significantly lower then games in Western Europe and North America.
There are more than 60 escape games in Budapest and we will certainly be visiting again to try more!
